NTCA Members Receive Over $500 Million in USDA ReConnect Funding

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Members of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association received over $530 million in loans and grants for broadband deployment through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s latest distribution of ReConnect Program funding. The funding will support the delivery of 100 Mbps symmetrical or better broadband service to over 66,000 people, nearly 1,730 businesses, over 3,770 farms and 84 schools. In 2022, USDA awarded over $1 billion to NTCA members, including previously announced awards of approximately $400 million, $375 million and $200 million through its ReConnect and Telecommunications Infrastructure Loan and Loan Guarantee programs.

“Connecting rural Americans with affordable high-quality broadband is no easy feat, but NTCA members continue to show that they are up to the task,” said NTCA CEO Shirley Bloomfield. “I am thrilled that so many of our members have once again received awards through the ReConnect Program, and I am grateful that USDA continues to recognize their commitment and capabilities.”
