FRS Events

If you're not at the table, you're on the menu.

Interested in sponsoring an event?

FRS works to encourage dialogue about rural issues. We do this by hosting educational events on issues pertaining to rural America, broadband and its applications—smart agriculture, distance education, telemedicine—you name it.

But hosting events (yes, even educational ones) requires resources. FRS also hosts fundraisers at all major NTCA conferences. A portion of each ticket sold to an FRS fundraiser, and all sponsorships, comes back to us and help us keep the rural voice at the table.

FRS Event at the George Town Club

Wednesday, November 20, 2019
1530 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington, DC, 20007

Located in Washington, DC’s historic Georgetown neighborhood, the George Town Club occupies one of the few remaining 18th century frame buildings and is believed to have been John Suter’s Tavern circa 1783. It was at Suter’s Tavern where President George Washington, surveyor Andrew Ellicott, and then Architect of the Capitol, Major Pierre L’Enfant, met at least three times to plan the city that would become Washington, DC. This exclusive club is a warm, exclusive and elegant space to experience quintessential Washington, DC! Our entertainment for the evening will be the Georgetown Chimes, Georgetown University's oldest and only all men's acapella group.

All proceeds of this fundraising event support FRS programming, including scholarships for rural youth, community grants and valuable educational tools for consumers and policymakers. Your ticket purchase includes wine, a delicious 3-course dinner and live entertainment from The Georgetown Chimes.

Cost is $225 per ticket ($50 of this price is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law)
