If you're not at the table, you're on the menu.
FRS works to encourage dialogue about rural issues. We do this by hosting educational events on issues pertaining to rural America, broadband and its applications—smart agriculture, distance education, telemedicine—you name it.
But hosting events (yes, even educational ones) requires resources. FRS also hosts fundraisers at all major NTCA conferences. A portion of each ticket sold to an FRS fundraiser, and all sponsorships, comes back to us and help us keep the rural voice at the table.
Rural Broadband and the Next Generation of American Jobs
Join NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association’s Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) on the morning of Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in Washington, D.C. for Rural Broadband and the Next Generation of American Jobs. The event will take place immediately following the Legislative and Policy Conference at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.
The program will include the presentation of a white paper that explores changes in the U.S. job market and implications for rural education. A roundtable discussion on the topic between educators, libraries and rural broadband providers will follow.
FRS has taken a special interest in rural job creation with the goal of increasing awareness of the resources available to rural communities to advance opportunities and quality of life across our country.
