2023 Scholarship Programs Now Open

2023 Scholarship Program Now Open

FRS is excited to announce that applications for the 2022 FRS Scholarships and the James L. Bass Legal Scholarship are now open! Go to frs.org/scholarship for the link to the applications.

In 2023, FRS will award over $100,000 in scholarships to students sponsored by our NTCA members.

FRS is Again Using Kaleidoscope to Host our Scholarships

Scholarships can again be found on Kaleidoscope, a scholarship hosting platform. That means all of our scholarships are still FRS scholarships, they are now on a platform specifically designed for scholarship creation, submission, and customer service. This makes the entire process, from account creation to application submission easier and streamlined.

What's that mean for our NTCA member partners?

Nothing has changed for our NTCA member partners. Please continue to share the opportunity within your communities, direct students to our webpage for access to the scholarship link and remind students to review the instructions before beginning. Over share your company name as it is listed in the NTCA member management tool so that students can easily find their NTCA member sponsor. Additionally, we have included an interactive map that will help students find the correct NTCA member. Students must get the application link from our webpage. They will not be able to access the applications without visiting our webpage.

Please use our flyer to share information about the scholarship program.

Applications must be submitted by the end of the day on February 8, 2023, eastern time.

Don't forget about the James L. Bass Legal Scholarship

For the third year, FRS is offering the James L. Bass Legal scholarship. This scholarship honors James Bass, who was pivotal in the creation of NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, where he served as one of the organization’s earliest Presidents and for numerous other telecommunication milestones. This scholarship is for students entering their first year of law school and does not require an NTCA member partnership. Please share this scholarship opportunity in your communities for future law students and anywhere else you might see fit. Information on the scholarship and a link to the application can be found on our webpage.

In 2023, FRS will award at least one James L. Bass Scholarship $5,000 scholarship.

Applications must be submitted by the end of the day on February 8, 2023, eastern time. Please contact [email protected] or 703-351-2026 for questions about the scholarship program.
