Tularosa Basin employees Naomi LaFave and Veronica Hardison accepted the award on behalf of the Tularosa Basin Telephone Company at NTCA's 2009 Fall Conference in New York City.

ENMR∙Plateau Telecommunications for working with New Mexico politicians to bring both a new detention facility and a much needed Federal Credit Union to their service area.
Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative for the “Playing it Safe in an Online World” project, which helped to educate students about online predators, internet crime, and identity theft.
Grand River Mutual Telephone Corporation for their “Community Improvement Grant Program”, which provided grants to local non-profits.
Iowa Network Services, Inc. for their “Ripple Effect: One Good Thing Leads to Another” program, which provided financial and technical assistance for business and community development.
KanOkla Telephone Association, Inc. for their “KanOkla Community Development & Assistance Program”, which aimed to improve the quality of life in their exchanges by providing fire trucks, public swimming pool renovations, and renovating a historic Opera House.
Madison County Communications Company for their “Hospital Broadband Project”, which provided a fiber solution for unlimited bandwidth capacity to their local hospital.
Pioneer Telephone Cooperative, Inc. for their “Partner Cares Program & Retail Center Remodels” which donated donated mascot dolls to recuperating pediatric patients.
Riviera Telephone Company, Inc. for their “Colston Family Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center”, which helped bring a premier rehabilitation facility to their area.
Rural Telephone Service Company for their numerous Economic Development activities, including zero interest loans and grants to start-up businesses, a “Focus on Youth Forum” to attract young people to Kansas, and call center recruitment.
SkyLine Membership Corporation for their “Technology Education Grant Program” which provided SMART boards to local schools.
