The Scholarship Application Deadline is February 25, 2022.

Eligibility:

  • Be a graduating high school senior.
  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Be sponsored by a current NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association member.
  • Be accepted by an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.
  • Have at least a C grade point average (GPA).
  • Express an interest to return to a rural community following graduation.

Your NTCA member sponsor will be a small local telecommunications company, that likely provides your home with internet services.

- Upload or type your 500-800 word essay answering the question prompt: What field or major do you intend to enter and how might it impact your rural community?
- Please include any additional information that you think the review team should know, including any family need or hardships overcome. 
- Two letters of recommendation, only one of which may be from an educator. Letters should be written by someone who can describe your skills, accomplishments and personality (examples include telephone company personnel, elected official, local business leader, etc.). There is not a standard form to be used for these letters of recommendation. *An email will be sent to your reference upon completing this step. Please talk to your reference prior to submitting their information. It is the student's responsibility to ensure BOTH references are completed.*
